In association with an optometrist steering committee and ophthalmologists, COS has developed an accredited network of optometrists in the North London and M25 area. Accredited optometrists have attended special training programmes approved by the College of Optometrists and are involved in training activities on an ongoing basis. This is critical in order to ensure that all patients are receiving the best available professional service.

In addition, associated optometrists and ophthalmologists are linked to COS's network communication system with the aim to enhance and to speed up the communication process between optometrists, general practitioners, patients, ophthalmologists and the COS.
